Siding pics

Read the caption of each of the photos below:

1 - Gutters extends  --- Let me know what you think ?
2 - Corner Channels - flash and caulk
3 - Areas that were missed during caulking

Not sure what your construction standard is, but the front gutter on porch is 2'' beyound the roof.  Which looks good.

The front (top) gutter is at 5 1/2'', which doesn't look so good.

And the back gutter is about 6 1/4'', not so good either.

This shows the extened gutter, and the OPENING AT THE TOP of the corner channel. These should have some flashing and caulking.  ( just below the gutter )

Large OPENING on all four corner channels should be covered with flashing and caulked.
ALL 4 Corners.

This is the back gutter and the opening at the top of the corner channel.

Front Window on right (not sure about the one on the left) should be caulked across the seams. (both sides)

In the back of the house, Caulking missing rear - left side by spot lights. ( just below the gutter )

In the back of house, Caulking missing from middle of window (driveway side) to the edge of the house, about 6 feet.

Missing caulking

Should J-Channel be caulked between bottom of window(s) and j-channel?  ..... notice water laying in-between ?

Water between window and J-Channel

Uneven roof edge due to uneven edge vent installation.

Click on any of the pics for larger size.  Video is available.
Arrows point out where the edge vent was not flat against the wood of the roof.  Probably due to the fact that the weather report was calling for 3 inches of snow and there was a need to hurry to complete the job. (instead of postponing for better weather as I suggested.)  The same condition exists on the back roof also.

One of the raised areas.

Easy to see that the edge vent is not flat against the roof.

Certainly not flat against roof.

Ahhhh... must be something keeping it up.

I guess haste is the culprit.

Staple under edge vent.

These are the staples that i found in my lawn and around shrubs in the front yard.  I think they should be part of the clean-up process ... oh wait, they were buried in the snow, even now that the ground is clear, no follow-up to clean up.

 Yep, its snowing...

Shingles, Shingles, Shingles

I guess if it has snow on it ... it has no value.

You'll never guess how many nails i found in the street !!

Yep, I swept most of this up.....

Something else that I recently found out ...  The board in the middle was installed to cover up where the power vent used to be.  What makes me mad is the fact that i just bought and installed a new motor and fan assembly (approx $100) less than a year ago, and it was removed, and they took it with them. Didn't even ask, Hey, we're removing the fan and motor, do you want it? --- THEY JUST TOOK IT.

And take a look at the wires hanging out of the uncovered box.  I'm sure thats not UP-TO-CODE ..
